Larry Mark Neuburger
Larry went home to be with the Lord on June 27, 2013 in Springfield, MO.
Larry was born to Theodore and Evelyn Neuburger on November 7, 1954, in El Dorado, Kansas.
Larry is survived by his wife, Donna Neuburger; Sharon Williamson, the mother of his two children Julie and Aaron; his daughter-in-law Olivia; and his two grandchildren, Kelea and Sheridan. He is also survived by three stepchildren, Matthew O’Connor and his wife Vanessa, Jody Hernandez, and Joseph O’Connor; eight step grandchildren, Courtney, Anna, Madison, Matthew, Jessica, Benjamin, Bailey and Shelby; and two step great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Treden.
Larry is also survived by siblings Loretta and Gene Dreilng; Mike and Mary Neuburger; Jo Neuburger; Rick and Cathy Neuburger; Ted and Mina Neuburger; Rose and Randy Wirick; Jean and Rob Ewing; and Jackie and Duke Harmon, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and loved ones.
Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Kristine Neuburger.
After his children were grown, Larry graduated with two Bachelors of Science degrees from Missouri Southern State University in 2002. He then obtained a Master’s degree of Teaching, English and Composition, at Missouri State University in 2007. Larry was most recently a professor of English at Ozark Technical Community College. He was also a member of the Ozarks Writing Project, and was given many opportunities to participate and educate both locally and nationally through this organization.
Larry will always be remembered as someone who loved others unconditionally, lived each day to the fullest, and forged his own creative path through life.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 1st, 2013, at Cherry Street Baptist Church, 1201 S. Oak Grove, Springfield, MO, 65804, under the care of Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
