She was born May 19, 1968, in Centralia, IL, to Leonard Roy and Helen
Louise (Graves) McElroy. Lela worked as
a CNA in the healthcare industry.
She is preceded in death by her
mother; a son Kyle Joseph McElroy; and a brother Lyndvel McElroy.
Lela is survived by her three
children: Rebeckah McElroy, Morgan Gilmore, and Drayven Gilmore all of Bolivar,
MO; a granddaughter Alyce McElroy of Bolivar, MO; her brother Lyndvel’s widow, Linda Elaine McElroy; a brother Paul McElroy; nine sisters: Sarah Jackson, Ruth Robinson,Linda Wilson, Margaret Doke, Patricia Orrell, Paula
Killingsworth, her twin Lila Woollums, Teri McElroy, and Sheri Altic; her
father Leonard McElroy; significant other Ray Raymond; as well as numerous
other relatives and friends.
