Lela Fay Ball-Stokes-Cramer, age 88 of Springfield, passed away April 11, 2013 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 8, 1924 to the late Loyal and Sallie (Boyd) Bunch in Greene County, Missouri.
In her spare time Lela enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, canning and sewing. She made beautiful quilts to give to her friends and family. Lela was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Luther Ball and Bonnie Stokes; son, Henry Ball; three step children, Perry Stokes, Mary Butcher, Ralph Stokes; and her four siblings.
Survivors include her loving husband, Harold; children, Joe and Lucille Stokes, Efton and Barbara Stokes, Wanda and Dean York, Charlie Stokes, Ruby Foss, Ruth Blevins, Priscilla and Dan McGuire, Judy and Ray Blackmon, David and Teresa Ball and John Ball; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held in the funeral home from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, April 14, 2013 with prayer service beginning at 5:00 p.m.
