Lenora “Sue” Wilson, 78 of Springfield, MO, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. Sue was born on March 20, 1944 to Roy and Kate (Horton) Johnson.
Sue married Bob Wilson on July 30, 1993 and they were married until Bob’s passing in 2017.
Sue loved to read and spend time with her family. She was also very active with the Legacy Group of Central Assembly of God, where she attended faithfully.
Sue is survived by five children, Melissa (Joe) Bates of Tulsa, OK, Greg (Faith) Moeller of Springfield, MO; Brett (Kathy) Wilson of Littleton, CO; Brent Wilson of Lakewood, CO; Jerry (Jill) Wilson of Denver, CO; her grandchildren, Katy and Tyler Bates; Kate, Tucker and Nolan Moeller; Tim (Lela) Wilson, Jenna (Brad) Rice, Matthew Wilson; Hannah (Doug) Brown and Noah (Natalia) Wilson; great grandchildren Hudson, Evie, Wesley, Henry, Ainsley, Zoe and Darcy; her sister, Delores Peebles; and her sisters-in-law, Erika Johnson and Berniece Taylor. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives. Sue will be missed by her family and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband, Bob, her father, Roy Johnson, her mother, Kate Johnson; and her brothers, Orland “Pete” Johnson, Morris Johnson and Jimmy Johnson.
A graveside service will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 11:00 am on January 3, 2023. Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South in Springfield, MO.
