Leola Carroll (Scott) “ Punk” age 75, of Ridgedale, Missouri, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 29, 2026 at Cox South in Springfield, Missouri with her family by her side.
Leola was born on December 16, 1950, to Charley and Laura Gertrude (White) Scott. She attended all school years through Hollister. She lived a life marked by unwavering faith, devotion to her family, and a servant’s heart. While she loved her family deeply, those who knew her best knew that her greatest love was for Jesus Christ. Her faith guided her daily life and was reflected in her commitment to her church, her family, and everyone she met. On July 3, 1992, she married the love of her life, Edward Carroll Sr. They lived in Ridgedale Missouri where they raised their girls. She is the mother to Kerry Joe Thomas, Karla Joan Thomas, Brittany Jo Maybee and Lindsey Rae Carroll. She was a member of The House of Prayer Church in Reeds Spring, Missouri.
Leola dedicated more than 35 years of service to Silver Fountain Inn before continuing her career with Head Start, where she served for many years as Head Nutritionist. She took pride in caring for others through her work and was respected and loved by her coworkers and the families she served. Leola found great joy in cooking, attending church, and spending time with her loved ones. Her grandchildren were truly her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She was happiest when surrounded by family, sharing meals, laughter, stories, singing and creating memories that will be treasured forever.
She is survived by her daughters, Brittany Maybee and husband Michael Maybee, and Lindsey Carroll, all of Ridgedale, Missouri; her beloved grandchildren, Matthew Thomas and wife Miranda of Republic, Missouri, and their children Blake and Emmy; Donavon Thomas and wife Megan of Wentzville, Missouri, and their children Tucker and baby Remington on the way; and Brayden Carroll, Michael Carroll and Stetson Maybee all of Ridgedale Missouri and Daughter in law Jennifer Thomas of Grain valley Missouri. She is also survived by her sisters, Leona and Dallas Burrffett of Galena Missouri, and Letta Carroll of Ridgedale, Missouri, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Leola was preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Laura Gertrude Scott; her children, Kerry Joe Thomas and Karla Joanne Thomas; her precious granddaughter, Patience Leonnie Carroll-Maybee and Kinlee Thomas; her siblings, Leo Scott, Leota Eubanks, Loretta Scott, Leon Scott, and Lonnie Scott; her brother-in-law, Edward Carroll Jr.; her nephews, Brody Scott and Cooper Maberry; and her niece, Harley Miller. Leola leaves behind a legacy of faith, strength, compassion, and unconditional love. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she has been welcomed home by her Savior and reunited with loved ones who have gone before her. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her love, wisdom, and example will live on through the generations she leaves behind.
Visitation will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson, Missouri at 1:00pm with service starting at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Cedar Valley Cemetery in Hollister, Missouri.
