Leonard Junior Williams, 92, passed away peacefully Friday, October 30, 2015 in Springfield. He was born April 15, 1923 in Strafford, Missouri to Stanley and Grace Williams. Leonard Junior Williams, 92, passed away peacefully Friday, October 30, 2015 in Springfield. He was born April 15, 1923 in Strafford, Missouri to Stanley and Grace Williams. Leonard served in the US Army during WWII. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Williams, one son; Gary (Sheri) Williams, one daughter; Vicky (Arthur) Hock, several grandchildren; Melissa Frese (Justin), Jesse Hock, Nick Bartels, Brian Hazel, and Rob and Shelby Crow, great-grandchildren; Canon Crow and Lincoln Frese, one sister; Betty Taylor, one sister-in-law; Jackie Williams, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Monday, November 2, 2015, 3:00pm, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. There will be no visitation. Leonard will be laid to rest in Bass Chapel Cemetery with full military honors.
