Levada Jean (Scally) Nettles, age 85, passed peacefully on January 4, 2026, at Willard Care Center in Willard, Missouri.
Levada spent most of her life in Fordland and Aldrich, Missouri, where she built a home centered on faith, family, and unconditional love. She was the oldest of 16 children, a role that reflected her nurturing spirit and lifelong care for others. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and devoted husband, Aubry Wilford Nettles, with whom she shared a deep and enduring bond.
She leaves behind her beloved children: Edith McFall of Bolivar, Missouri; Kathy Glenn and Earl Suggs of Fordland, Missouri; Steve Nettles and his wife Angie of Fordland, Missouri; and Craig Nettles and his wife Vikki of Stockton, Missouri. She was blessed with a large and loving family, including 13 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren, with four additional great-great-grandchildren on the way.
Levada loved Jesus with her whole heart and lived her faith daily through kindness, generosity, and love. She found joy in the simple and beautiful things—cooking for those she loved, fishing, dancing, singing, sewing, and watching hummingbirds. Her warm smile could light up a room, and she loved her family fiercely and completely.
Levada will be remembered for her gentle spirit, joyful heart, and unwavering love for her family and her Savior. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
