Lidwina, “Mesi” , Maier Moore, 80, passed away Friday, August 06, 2010, at the Willard Care Center, in Willard, Missouri, after an extended illness. Lidwina was born May 30, 1930, in Munich, Germany, to Adlber and Berta Maier. The youngest of five children, she was christened into the Catholic Church at a young age. Her childhood was spent going to school, church, and helping to care for her ailing mother. She had four sisters, Dinel, Josephine, Berta, and Julie who lived in Germany. She met a handsome young career soldier in the USA Army, Bill Moore, who fell in love with her at first sight. They married in 1946 and spent many years as a Military family. They retired from the Military to a farm in Everton, MO. She loved her cats and dogs, growing flowers, and decorating their home. Lidwina devoted her life to her family and she departed surrounded by their love. Lidwina was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings. Lidwina is survived by three sons, Bill (Mary) Moore, Springfield, MO; Mike (Becky), Springfield, MO; one daughter, Linda (Kenny) Wilkinson, Greenfield, MO; seven grandchildren; 13 great – grandchildren; and one to be born in February. A special thanks to Willard Care Center for their love and support of Mrs. Moore and her family. Services will be Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at 1 p.m., in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m., in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
