Lillie E. Pruitt, age 91, of Springfield, MO, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2011. She was born March 1, 1920, in Marengo, IA, to Roy and Opal Freshour. She married Elbert D. Pruitt on October 24, 1936.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a sister, Mildred Smith; and two brothers, Clarence and Earl Freshour.
She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, all of Springfield, Geneva and Tony Parent, Evelyn and David Casada, Phyllis and Bob Hartley ; eight grandchildren; sixteen great – grandchildren ; seven great – great – grandchildren; and her half – sister, Dilla Dawson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 8, 2011, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with Pastor Terry Kendrick officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
