Linda Lea Kersey passed from this life on February 10, 2017. She was born in Marshalltown, Iowa on May 2, 1939 as the daughter of Jesse and Beulah Stewart.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Clayton Stewart and her loving husband of 50 years Garland Kersey. Linda is survived by her brothers, Jim Stewart and his family of State Center, Iowa and Mike Stewart and his family of Marshalltown, Iowa, along with sister-in-law’s, Helen Kersey of Joplin, MO and Veta Kersey of Joplin, MO. She is also survived by her children, Mike Kersey and his family of Springfield, MO, Dana Kersey and her family of Springfield, MO, Mark Kersey and his family of Joplin, MO and Janet Kersey of Springfield, MO and six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Linda resided in Springfield and worked various jobs and enjoyed traveling with family and friends. Her grandkids were her joy in life and she was always there for anyone who needed her. She enjoyed cooking and shopping on the QVC Network.
Visitation for the Celebration of her life will be on Monday, February 13, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home South, 441 W. Battlefield, Springfield, MO 65807
