Linda Lee Groves, 79, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on December 9, 2020 with her family by her side.
She was the youngest of six children born to William Oscar Rader and Julia Mae (Sell) Rader on July 28, 1941 in Springfield. She married Larry E. Groves on June 27, 1964 and celebrated 56 years of marriage this summer. Linda attended Republic High School and earned bachelor and master’s degrees from Missouri State University. She spent her professional career in education, both in music and guidance and counselling, retiring from Logan-Rogersville Middle School in 2000 after more than 30 years of teaching. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and enjoyed music and spending time with her family and friends.
Linda is survived by her husband, Larry, and children Andrea Groves of Frisco, Texas, Holly (Groves) Bilke and husband Darren Bilke of Springfield, and grandsons Dason Groves and wife Savannah, and Adam Bilke. She is also survived by her brother Samuel Rader, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and three brothers.
A visitation will be held at Greenlawn South on Saturday, December 12 from 11 am to 1 pm. Funeral services and burial will be held later in early 2021.
