Linda Sue Meador
Linda Sue Meador (Hough) passed away suddenly on May 25, 2010. She was born on August 28, 1941, to Lowell and Lucille Hough. Linda married Earnest Meador on January 22, 1960. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently with family and many friends. She worked as a teacher’s aide in Weller Elementary for 15 years. She retired from Springfield Public Schools. She was preceded in death by her parents; and many loving aunts and uncles. She is survived by children Kelly and Ed Cleeton, Kent and Rhonda Meador, Kristy and Scott Parham; nine grandchildren Kara Racz and husband Matt, Ryan, Kaelyn and Kelsie Cleeton; Benn, Baylee and Brandon Meador; Kirsten McFarland and husband Andy, and Taylor Parham; two great-grandchildren Gavin Wallace and Malakai Racz, and one great-granddaughter, baby McFarland on the way in September, all of Springfield. Her greatest joy was being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was extremely present in all our lives, never missing an important event. She loved shopping for all of us, and couldn’t wait to give us her latest bargain find. Our lives are forever changed, and our hearts long to be with her, but we find comfort in knowing we will all be together someday in heaven. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, May 28, 2010, with the Reverend Steve Ward officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, May 27, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m., in the funeral home.
