Linda Sue Yoast (Medley), 80, of Springfield, Missouri, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 6th, 2026 peacefully in her home with family by her side. Born on July 17, 1945, in Polk County, Missouri, to William Dean and Erma Lee Medley, Linda’s life was a beautiful testament to love, faith, and devotion. Linda attended Pleasant Hope School and later moved to Kansas City after high school, where she began her career at Hallmark. It was there that she met her beloved husband, Bill Yoast. Together they built a life filled with shared dreams and enduring love. She partnered with her mother to open a purse and upholstery shop in Tin Town, Missouri-a cherished venture that continued until the passing of her parents.Linda went to work for Famous Barr (now Macy’s), where she worked diligently until her retirement. A woman of deep faith, Linda was raised in the Baptist church and lived her life guided by its teachings. Her devotion to the Lord and her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She instilled in her children a strong foundation of faith and the importance of family values-a legacy that will continue for generations. Linda found joy in quilting, gardening, birdwatching, and caring for neighborhood cats-simple pleasures that reflected her nurturing spirit and appreciation for nature’s beauty. She loved watching her sons and grandsons play ball. She is survived by her husband Bill; sons Shawn (wife Bambi), Shane (wife Malinda), and Shannon (wife Emily); grandchildren Kelli, Tristyn, Bekah, Hudson, and Kaylee; great-grandchildren Emily(Jake), Bailey, and Kennedy; great-great-granddaughter Lainey; sister-in-law Saundra “Sonnie” Medley; brother-in-law Ronnie Cook; nephew Dennis “Denny” Alan Medley (wife Theresa); niece Donna Kay Prince (husband Roy); nephew David Kent Medley (wife Shay); and nephew Brian Cook(wife Deanna). Linda was preceded in death by her parents William Dean and Erma Lee Medley; brother William Dennis Medley; sister Deanna Cook. Linda will be remembered as a kind-hearted woman whose compassion and unwavering love inspired all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who mourn her passing. A private family service will be held to honor Linda’s life. The family kindly requests that instead of sending flowers, donations be made to St. Jude’s Hospital where Linda made donations.
