Lloyd Willis Graybill, Billings, Mo.
Left his place on this earth to join his Lord and Savior after loosing his courageous battle with lung cancer on Saturday, October 30, 2010.
His wife, Arlene and dog Annie survives the home. Lloyd was born July 21, 1935 to George and Kathryn (Jorgenson) Graybill in Stet, Mo. He spent most of his childhood in the Atherton, Mo. area. He attended Richmond High School before joining the Marines in 1954, where he attended boot camp in San Diego, Ca. and served one year in Japan. After leaving the Marines he worked as an Iron Worker out of Local #10 in Kansas City, Missouri most of his life and retired in 1990.
Throughout his life time he was a member of the Community of Christ Church, where he held the offices of Deacon, Elder and Evangelist. After his retirement from Iron Working he focused most of his time working for the church as Lay Minister in Springfield, Mo.
He loved farming and the outdoors. He had a love for tractors, and participating in the Show-Me-Tractor Cruise, raising money for Camp Quality. He enjoyed spending time with his family, on his pontoon boat and bowling.
Lloyd married Carol (Maupin) Graybill on December 31, 1956. And was married for 28 years. In that marriage, they had five children. Three daughters, Dana Huffman and husband Floyd, Eavy Wilson, Cari Klein and husband Bruce, all of Richmond, Mo. Two sons, Delmar Graybill and wife Terri of Smithville, Mo. Dale Graybill and wife Grace of Chillicothe, Mo. Eight grandchildren, Hadley Wilson, Caley Wilson, Bryce Klein, Christopher Graybill, Logan Graybill, Joseph Graybill, Tessa Graybill and Seth Graybill.
June 10, 1988 he married Arlene Ann Mitchell, which expanded his family to include mother-in-law Marcia Todd, of Springfield, Mo., five Step-daughters, Bonnie Gadino and husband Nick of Lee’s Summit, Mo., Ramona Brown and husband Greg of Rock Away Beach, Mo., Denise Sullivan and husband Brad of Springfield, Mo., Anita Bodenhamer of Eldorado Springs, Mo., Karen Wood of Billings, Mo. Twelve step-grandchildren, Stephanie Hilderbrand, Chris Jones & Faye, Shelline Clark & Kevin, Joey Wood & Michelle, Todd Sullivan &Ashton, Susie Curtis & Jeff, Christine Rodelander & Brandon, Nick Sullivan, Jamie Lee Brown, Jennifer Dial, Rebecca Dial, Jeffrey Dial, and 11 step-great grandchildren.
Other survivors include two sisters, Phillis Lowe of Independence, Mo. and Cheryl Hosler and husband, George of Oak Grove, Mo. Four brothers, Keith Graybill and wife Lucy, Dwight Graybill and wife Mary, George Graybill and wife Wilma and David Graybill and wife Sharon, all of Independence, Mo. and many nieces and nephews.
He is proceeded in death by his parents George and Kathryn Graybill, brother Delmar Dane “Tubby” Graybill, son-in-laws Gary Wilson and Mike Wood, father-in law Arlie Todd, brother-in-law William Lowe, nephew, David Lynn Graybill and grandson, Eric Hunter.
