Lloyd Windell Taylor, age 47, of Springfield, Missouri passed into the arms of Christ on Saturday,
December 7, 2019 at Cox South Hospital after a courageous fight against pancreatic cancer.
Born in Springfield, MO on September 11, 1972, Lloyd was raised locally and later attended the
police academy at Drury University. His passion for law enforcement and public service led to
a 26 year long career with several Southwest Missouri police departments. He pursued other
business opportunities as well spanning 10+ years of experience in the logistics field. He loved
bowling, football, telling jokes, and spending time with his family and friends. He was known
for his giving heart, his relentless drive, his sense of humor, his dedication to family, and for his
commitment to serve others.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Lloyd and Irene Taylor, his father Windell Taylor,
his brother Timmy, and his granddaughter Rosslyn Browning. He is survived by his mothers
Sandra Taylor and Mary Montgomery, his stepfather Craig Montgomery, seven siblings: Jimmy,
Larry, Tommy, Justin, Angel, Alissa, and Brandy, his wife Kathryn, his five children: Megan, Kelsea,
Kaitlyn, Rielley, and Aeiden, two grandsons Levi and Morgen, and many neices, nephews, cousins,
and other family members around the Springfield, MO area. He was deeply loved and admired,
and will be sorely missed by all of those who knew him. Services will be held Sunday December
15, 2019 with visitation at 1pm and funeral services following directly after at Robberson Prairie
Cemetery.
