Lois Aileen (Peters) Fetters of Springfield passed away October 22, 2016 in Barnes Hospital, St. Louis. Lois was born June 21, 1938 in Lesage, West Virginia to Oscar and Bessie (McElroy) Peters.
She married Larry Fetters on December 7, 1984.
She served in the Army and also worked for Greene County in General Services in several capacities including the mail room, elevator operator and switchboard operator. She retired from this job in 1995.
She loved her family dearly. She cared for her own mother in her home until she passed away at the age of 99. She was a wonderful grandmother who taught Xander chess, Audrey how to sew and crochet, and who always had a treat or toy for Gracie.
Lois enjoyed a full and busy life. She loved to sew and crochet and particularly enjoyed making stuffed toys.
Lois was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church and was regularly there on Sunday mornings with Larry and frequently bringing Gracie along as well.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William Peters and Dale Peters as well as one sister, Dorothy Peters.
She is survived by her husband, Larry, of the home, two children, Timothy Peters and Amy Haggard and her husband Matt, two brothers, Merle Peters and Roy Peters, and three grandchildren, Xander, Audrey, and Gracie Haggard.
