Lois Ann Gortmaker, age 70, of Springfield, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Maranatha Village. She was born April 21, 1940, in Sioux Falls, SD, to Edward and Cecil (Gilbert) Lugg.
She enjoyed sewing, reading and doll collecting. She was an avid Elvis and Roy Rogers fan but she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren the most.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Curtis and Cecil Ann Lugg; her husband, Clarence Arthur Gortmaker Sr.; and one daughter, Heidi Gortmaker and one granddaughter, Cassadie Gortmaker.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sheri Neil of Springfield and Cristina Collins and husband Joe of Springfield; two sons, Curtis Gortmaker and wife Cindy of Sioux Falls, SD and Clarence Gortmaker, Jr. and Brenda Amundson of Sioux Falls, SD; six grandchildren, Edward, Andrew, Ryan, Katy, Sara, McKinley; and one great-grandchild, Riley.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2011, in National Cemetery, Springfield, MO. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 6,in Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
