Lonnie Leon Igert, age 61, of Republic, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at St. John’s Medical Center. He was born January 18, 1949, in Muskogee, OK, to Sam and Blanch (Barnett) Igert. He was a member of the South Gate Baptist Church. He is a US Navy Viet Nam Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by His wife Sandra Igert of the home; two sons: Justin Igert, Springfield, MO, Jeremy Igert and his wife Shelley of Republic, MO; two grandsons: Chase and Chandler Igert of Republic, MO; one brother Robert Igert of Oklahoma; two granddogs: Tanner and Dutchess Igert; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, December 23, 2010, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South with Rev. Nolan Carrier officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 22, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, or the St. John’s Auxiliary. Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South, Springfield, MO.
