Lora Lou Sweaney departed this life June 14, 2026 surrounded by her family after a brief illness.

She is survived by a sister, Donna Bartley and husband Ron, and her children, Tony and partner Dawn, Steven and wife Deanna, Elaine and husband Dale Davis, Susan and husband Jimmy Stuart, 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Ronnie, parents Marlow and Winiferd (Smith) Reaves, and grandchildren Ashley Krueger and Chandler Sweaney.

Lora was born in Springfield, MO in 1947. Seven years later, her sister and life-long best friend Donna was born. She met and married Ronald Sweaney in 1971 and they began their family. Lora started work at ANPAC in 1984, working in underwriting and payment processing, until her retirement in 2014. After retirement, she would continue to have lunch dates with many of her coworkers. Lora was a member of the Cherry Street Baptist church where she gained many new friends.

Lora loved life. She enjoyed being on the go, but most importantly she enjoyed being around her family. She never missed an opportunity to spend time with her grandkids, attend sporting events, band competitions, and school assemblies. Lora was selfless in her actions, often putting others’ needs before hers. She never hesitated to help someone the best she could.

During her final days, Lora talked about how blessed she was to have her family, friends, and of course the grandkids. She will truly be missed.
