Lorena Mae Collison, 74, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2021. Lorena was born in Sleeper Missouri, on April 3, 1946 to Effie and Everett Darrow of Conway on their 25th wedding anniversary. Lorena was a faithful pastor’s wife, mother, and grandmother and attended Life360 Church in Fordland. Lorena loved to play games with her grandkids, (especially Chinese checkers,) cook, and host many church dinners. Lorena married the love of her life Jim Collison on July 25, 1964 and served faithfully by his side for 56 years. Their beautiful union blessed them with two amazing children. Lorena was preceded in death by her parents Effie and Everett Darrow, brothers, Edgle, Vencil, and David Darrow, and sister, Marie Peters as well as five infant siblings. Lorena is survived by her husband Jim of the home, son J.D. Collison and wife Angelia of Grovespring, daughter Renae Weddle and husband Charlie of Fordland, grandsons, Tyler Collison and wife Kaelin of Marshfield, Kaden Collison of Grovespring, and granddaughter Madison Weddle of Fordland. Her brother Dwain Darrow and wife Mildred of Kansas City, sisters Betty Jo Cox of Marshfield, and Emma Wasmer and husband Chester of Eldon as well as a host of nieces, nephews and a treasure trove of friends.
Visitation will be Friday 1/29/21 from 10 am-11 am with the funeral service scheduled at 11 am at Greenlawn East, 3540 E. Seminole. Interment will be at Dodson Cemetery in Rogersville, Mo.
