Loretta Emily King 93, of Springfield finally has gone home to be with God on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at home. Loretta was born February 24, 1920 in Giltner Nebraska to Mary and Erwin Bisbee. She was united in marriage to Maurice King on in May of 1943 in Granby Missouri. She was a devoted and faithful member of the Republic Church of Christ. Two great loves of Loretta’s was reading her bible and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother, Eldon Bisbee, who died during the Battle of the Bulge; and one sister, Eloise West. She is survived by her three children, Joyce Ann Hight-Edwards and husband Stevan of Springfield, Larry King of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Janet Campbell and husband Joseph of Arkansas; two sisters, Shirley Bruton and Laverne and Maxine Presley, all of Springfield; one brother, Doyle Bisbee and wife Freda of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. A celebration of Loretta’s life will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 9, 2013 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Compassus 1465 East Primrose, Springfield, Missouri 65804 and to C.A.R.E.
