Loretta Mae Bellis Colson Stewart was born to Ralph G. Bellis and Ethel Mae Gross in 1928. She worked as a telephone operator on the peg switchboards. She also raised her family as her husband, Elmer built up the Florida Keys. In Springfield she worked for Zenith and AT&T. She attended High Street Baptist Church. She survived two husbands, Elmer Everett Colson and Doyle Stewart. Loretta went home to be with her Lord Jesus; May 31, 2013. She leaves behind her daughter Aleta Colson Miller, and her two sons, David (Eddie) Colson, and Jerry Colson. Also, 8 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. She believed to pray instead of worry, and smile no matter what!
Funeral services for Loretta will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. before services.
