Loretta Ross, age 87, of Ozark, passed away Friday, January 10th, 2020 at Castlewood Assisted Living.
Loretta was born July 18, 1932 in Christian County, MO to Alfred and Kathleen Prewitt. She was a graduate of Spokane High School. Loretta was united in marriage to Charles Ross on October 1, 1950, and to this union were born four children. She faithfully attended Southaven Baptist Church. Loretta enjoyed gardening, attending her Young at Heart meetings, and game nights. The family will always remember her wonderful cooking. Loretta's greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her loving children, Lanny Ross and wife Cathy, Tom Ross and wife Teresa, Cindy Brown and husband Joseph, and Thurman Ross and wife Mildred; five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Hoffman; and a host of family and friends.
Loretta was preceded in death by her husband Charles Ross; parents Alfred and Kathleen Prewitt; one sister; and six brothers.
A celebration of Loretta's life will be held at 1pm, Friday, January 17, 2020 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Loretta’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers of Castlewood Memory Unit for all the care and kindness shown to Loretta and her family.
