On Nov. 25th 2019 this beautiful lady crossed over to join our Lord and Savior. She was a kind-hearted woman who showed love and respect to all she met. She was so loved as to have many unrelated young ones who called her Grandma! All were welcome to share a meal at her home.
Lorna worked at Lily Tulip Cup Corporation for 27 years and through 3 ownership's. She was a member of the Wilted Lilies after retirement. She was an active volunteer greeter for the local chapter of the AARP. She was a greeter at her church, Trinity Lutheran, for several years. In addition, she was a 42-year cancer survivor and served as a “walker” for the American Cancer Society collecting money door to door each year during their annual drive. She loved to garden and was well-known for her fresh vegetables and beautiful flower gardens. While her husband served in the armed forces, she was a member of the USO. During her retirement she loved to travel.
Lorna is survived by two daughters; Donna Burgher and Lin of Springfield, Patti Flowers-Palmer and Steve of Springfield. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Steven Burgher and Jenn of Rogersville; Kimberly Podurgiel and Jeff of Springfield and Cicely Flowers-Parsley and Nathan of Cusseta Georgia. Also survived by one brother Ray Meyer and Betty of San Jose, CA, a sister-in law Janice Meyer of Monett, 2 step-grandsons, 7 great grandchildren and 4 step-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She joins her loving husband (Charles “Rex), her 4 sisters, 1 brother, 3 brother-in-laws, a sister-in-law and her parents in eternal rest.
