Luis Alfredo Puga (Louie) 1958 – 2013
Louie, 55 of Ozark Missouri was called home to rest after struggling with ALS also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease from August 2009 to July 2013.
Louie was born May 23, 1958 to Calixto and Virginia Puga in Mission, Texas and departed this life on July 6, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. His family moved to Wilder, Idaho in 1961. There he attended Wilder Elementary and Wilder High School, graduating on May 25, 1976. He then attended Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, there he earned his Associates in Business Administration and graduated in 1978. Louie moved to Dallas, Texas in June 1977 when his parents retired. He worked for Mobile Corporation as a sales representative and later worked for Fed Ex. Louie met Tiqua Evans in 1984 and they were married January 22, 1985 in Dallas, Texas. During their union they gave life to four children. Ariel Dawn, Joseph Joshua, Taylor Marie, and Jeremiah Adam. They moved to Galena, Missouri in March 1999 and then to Crane, Missouri in 2002. He worked for EFCO Corporation in Monett, Missouri until he was diagnosed with ALS. Louie was a father figure to so many people and his advice; like a tattoo will stay with you forever. He is preceded in death by his parents Calixto and Virginia Puga. Siblings; Joseph Perlo Puga, Roberto Puga, Arthur Puga, Gloria Puga, Calixto Puga Jr., and Frank Puga. He is survived by his loving wife Tiqua Puga and their four children. Two daughters; Ariel and her husband Marty Irwin, and Taylor Puga. Two sons; Joseph and his wife Victoria Puga, and Jeremiah Puga. Two grandchildren; Kihanna and Liam Puga. Four sisters; Emma and husband Ted Romine, Mary and husband Joe Rodriguez, Clem and husband Dean Kelley, Mela and husband Tino Proa. One brother; Frankie Lee Puga. Nieces and nephews Charles, Darlene, Gina, Mike, Bobby, Kenny, Toni, Alisha and Robert Jr. He is also survived by many other family members and close friends.
