Lou was born on June 10, 1934, in Polk County, MO, to Hansel and Lois (Vest) Boos.  He is a US Army veteran.  He was united in marriage to Violet Boone May 10, 1966. 

          Lou worked at many different places, including as a general aircraft inspector for Boeing and McDonald Douglas, International Harvester, managed the Gunsmoke Pawn Shop in Springfield, and later owned his own with Vi, Lou’s Gun and Pawn in Pleasant Hope, MO.

          Lou was a member of the Pleasant Hope Masonic Lodge # 467, the North American Hunting Club, and Schofield Missionary Baptist Church. 

          He liked playing baseball and softball for some 50 years on and off, and coach little league baseball.  He taught hunter safety classes for many years.  He loved hunting, reading Louis Lamoure Westerns, and a frequent visitor to the coffee shop.         

          He is preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter Sherrie; a daughter Tammy Sanner; a son Larry Sanner; and a brother Eugene Boos.

          Lou is survived by his wife of 55 years Violet Boos of the home; four sons: Mike and Timothy Boos of Peculiar, MO, Douglas Sanner of Pleasant Hope, MO, and Jerry Sanner of Humansville, MO; a daughter Kelly of CT; numerous grand and great grandchildren; a brother Marvin Boos of CA; a sister Shirley Foose of VA; as well as many other relatives and friends.

          Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at Pitts Chapel.  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Schofield Cemetery Halfway, MO.  Online condolences may be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
