Louis Eaton, age 98, of Springfield, Missouri passed away on January 22, 2021 at Cox Hospital South. He was born on April 22, 1922 in Mansfield, Missouri to Bill and Mary Eaton. As a young man Louis would work in the CCC Camps during World War II as a cook. He would go on to work for Lily Tulip, there he would meet the love of his life Wilma Blevins and together they would be joined in holy matrimony on November 2, 1958. Louis would continue to work for Lily Tulip and retire after 36 years of service. Outside of work his hobbies included tinkering in his workshop and garage, making his own unique inventions. He also loved spending time with his great-grandkids. Louis is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Mary; loving wife, Wilma; sister, Dorothy Frazier; brothers, Ben Eaton and Travis Martin. He is survived by his daughter Linda Hendricks (husband Jay); granddaughter, Jayla Penick (husband David); great-grandchildren, Joseph, Elizabeth, and Jordyn Penick; brother, Sherman Eaton (wife Nancy); niece, Kathy Keene; nephew, Jim Frazier and close family friend Jeanie Wilson.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. A service will take place on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
