Lourette Ann Bluto, a loving wife, mother, and successful business owner, passed away on May 14, 2024, surrounded by family at the age of 91. She was born on June 21, 1932, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Paul Warren Gillett and Lourette Bischoff Gillett.
Ann built a successful career in the tourism industry, co-owning and operating The Branson Imax Entertainment Complex, Branson Meadows Cinemas, Florentinas and Heroes Restaurants with her husband Paul. Her dedication and hard work were evident in the thriving businesses. Prior to moving to Branson, Ann and Paul lived in Fullerton, California where she owned and operated a mailing and print shop.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Paul Bluto, and their seven children: Michelle Pettus and her son, Jason Pettus, Todd Grizzle and wife, Viola, Steve Bluto, Sherry Van Veghel, Paul Bluto Jr. and wife, Yvonne, Joseph Bluto and wife Gloria, and Jeremy Bluto and wife Claudia, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Ann’s love and care for her family will always be remembered.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Charles Arensten and Mark Bluto, her siblings: Betty Ferguson, Paul Gillett, and Marion McCoy and one grandson, Joshua Bluto.
Ann’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:30 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2024 at the Branson Imax Entertainment Complex with a reception to follow at McFarlain’s Restaurant 3562 Shepherd of the Hills Expy Branson, MO 65616. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home Branson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to The Mayo Clinic or The American Cancer Society – Hope Lodge.
