Lucas “Luke” R. Burney, 34, of Springfield, MO., lost the fight but won the battle, passing away at Cox South on Saturday, February 28, 2015.
Luke was born to parents, Steve and Pam Burney on May 18, 1980. He graduated from Hillcrest High School and the following day began a sixteen year career with UPS, making good friends and memories.

He was a member of Pathways/Dale St. UMC and had many great memories of work trips, lock-ins and chili suppers.
He was a true friend and brother to many, a proud uncle, and a kind spirit to all.
Luke is survived by his parents, Steve and Pam Burney; sister, Beth Doles and husband Shawn; nephew, Ryker Doles; grandparents, Helen Eagleburger and Russ and Mary Helen Burney; aunts, uncles, friends and best bud, Gizmo.
He was preceded in death by his hero and grandfather, Raymond “Dink” Eagleburger.
