It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Madeline Lee Dohle, age 79, of Pleasant Hope, MO. Born on March 16, 1947, in Springfield, MO, to Fred and Elsie Gertrude (Choate) Gaynor. Madeline lived a life rich with love, warmth, and kindness. She passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026.
Madeline graduated from Pleasant Hope High School. She was saved in 1963 at Rock Prairie Missionary Baptist Church where she joined after being saved. She later moved her membership to Providence Missionary Baptist Church.
Madeline was a beloved daughter, sister, and mother, known for her gentle spirit and her unwavering dedication to those she loved. She spent many years working as a waitress in the food service industry, where her infectious smile and kindhearted nature left a lasting impression on everyone she served. Her life was a tapestry woven with the threads of family and friends-moments shared over meals, laughter, and heartfelt conversations.
Madeline was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter Lisa JoAnn Covert.
She is survived by her cherished son, Dean Dohle (Stacy) of Halfway, MO; her brother, Gaylord Gaynor (Donna) of Halfway, MO; two grandchildren: Jessica Hammer (Jason) of Republic, MO, and Grant Dohle (Brielle) of Halfway, MO; one great grandson Joshua Hammer; as well as many other relatives and friends. Madeline’s legacy will forever be etched into the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 10:00 am at Pitts Chapel with Bro’s. DeWayne Burdette and Zane Durnell officiating, providing an opportunity for family and friends to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the funeral home, allowing loved ones to share their memories and honor Madeline’s life.
Madeline will be laid to rest at Pleasant Hope Cemetery off H Hwy Pleasant Hope, MO 65725, where she will continue to be surrounded by the beauty of the land she loved. As we gather to celebrate her life, we remember the joy she brought into our lives and the indelible mark she has left on our hearts.
