Mamie Alice (Evans) Dickens, 83, of Springfield, died peacefully Tuesday, July 7, at home. She was born to Gilford and Rachel Evans in Junction City, Texas, on August 25, 1925. Survivors include her husband, Alvin Dickens; three sons, Jimmie and his wife, Shirley Dickens, Bobbie and his wife, Laura Dickens of Springfield, Mo., and David and h is wife, April Dickens of Bolivar; and one daughter, Karen Yates and her husband, Greg of Springfield. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The memorial service will be held in Greenlawn Funeral Home North on Saturday, July 11, at 1o a.m. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 10. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, following the service.
