A loving wife, devoted mother, grand and great grammie, daughter and friend, Margaret Charlene Stokes Patrick Hardison, age 89 passed away on January 11, 2026.

Born June 17, 1936, a daughter of the late Charles and Ivie Stokes of Springfield, Missouri. Charlene was united in marriage June 20, 1982 to Clarence Hardison, sharing 43 loving years together before her passing.

Charlene’s greatest joy in life was the fellowship of her churches and her family. She continued a life long commitment of serving the church, Rainbow Girls Assembly, Days for Girls, and building loving friendships to the end.

A talented seamstress, she found great joy in making ornaments for many years for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, quilting and founding the Center United Methodist chapter of Days for Girls, a personal hygiene ministry serving girls world wide. This ministry will be carried on in her honor.

Charlene embraced her role as a mother and mother figure to so many, a grammie and great grammie, always loving to see those around her grow.

She shared a love of sewing, gardening, playing cards and games, and doing puzzles, with family and friends.

Charlene is survived by her loving husband, Clarence Hardison of the home; one son, Mike Patrick (Carol) of Camdenton, Missouri; One daughter Cheri (Phyllis) of Apex North Carolina; Danny Hardison, Lincoln, Nebraska, David Michael Hardison, Preston, Missouri; Brian Hardison, Springfield, Missouri Sherrie (John) Harmon, Springfield, Missouri; Gordon Patterson (Cindy) Wellington, Florida and David Hamrick (Tammy).

She leaves a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and other friends who will truly miss her.
