Margaret “Granny” White Erwin was born December 6, 1930 to Bruce and Alice Orrell and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 15, 2012. Margaret was a retired cashier at WalMart and resident of Maranatha Village. Her life-long passion was to serve the Lord in the capacity of Sunday School teacher, pianist, organist, singer and was blessed with five generations. She is proceded in death by her loving husband, Harlan “Tom” Erwin; her parents; and son, James White. Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Doolittle and husband, Dennis; daughter in law, Mary White; two sisters; Mary McDonald and husband Daniel, Sue Orrell- Colvert; one brother; Richard Orrell and wife, Linda; four grandchildren; Lisa Hughes, Denise Salchow, David Doolittle and Lacey Skinner; six great grandchildren, Ashlee Clifton and husband Heath, Colby Salchow, Katie Salchow, Austin Wasson, Dylan and Sophie; two great- great grandchildren; Mason and Brady; close family friend; Clifford Bumgardner; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 18 from 6 to 8 pm in Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 19 at 10 am in the funeral home.
