Margie Pearl (Emond) Jarvis, 83, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024. Margie was born on January 21, 1940, in Wichita, Kansas, to Gomer and Pearl (Norton) Emond. She met Donald Jarvis while in high school in Andover. On January 12, 1957, Margie and Don married and then she graduated later that May. Don and Margie shared 37 years together before he passed away in 1994. In 1970, they moved to Colorado to raise their family. This began a love of camping and travelling with her family.
Margie loved her family. She was the youngest of eight siblings and she was very close to her sisters. In their later years, she and her sisters always looked forward to their “Sister Weekends.” She enjoyed taking care of many houseplants and flowers.
Margie is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Jarvis; her daughter, Shelly (Jarvis) Sanders; her four sisters: Mildred Terhune, Maxine Swain, Arlene Durham, and Shirley Dunlap, and three brothers: Gerald Emond, Loren Emond, and Donald Emond.
She is survived by her sons: Kelly Jarvis, and wife, Nori, of Palisade, Colorado and Brett Jarvis, and wife, Lisa of Bolivar, Missouri; three grandchildren: Cristi Jarvis of Grand Junction, Colorado, Jason Sanders of Clinton, Missouri, Addie Jarvis of Bolivar, Missouri; two great-grandchildren, Garrett Silver and Quinn Silver, and many nieces and nephews, other family and friends.
A graveside service for Margie will take place on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Englewood Cemetery in Clinton, Missouri.
