We are sad to announce the passing of Margrie “Donis” Davis, 77, of Springfield. Donis passed away surrounded by loved ones on May 29th.
Donis married Clark Davis on October 5 in 1962 and had one son, Clark Davis “Jr.” She was a stay-at-home mom raising her son Jr. and two granddaughters, Donis Davis and Kasey Davis.
Donis was a local Avon representative and dedicated much of her life to the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3934. She spent her Saturdays raising money for local charities at the Bingo Imporium in Springfield and was recently inducted into the Fraternal Order of Eagles Hall of Fame.
Besides her parents, Donis was preceded in death by her sisters; Velma Hayes, Doris Stubbs, and Lorene Marcum.
Survivors include her husband Clark Davis of Springfield; son, Clark Davis Jr and wife Becky Davis of Seymour; Sister, Shirley Collins of Springfield; four granddaughters, Margrie “Donis” Davis- Cunningham and husband Dean Cunningham of Springfield, Kasey Davis of Rogersville, Sierra Davis of Rogersville and Savannah Davis of Rogersville; and eight great grandchildren, Alexia, Keegan, Jayden, Kamron, Kaiden, Kaydence, Braydon, and Saadia.
Services are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 5th at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
