Mariah Ann Reynolds began her earthly journey on July 30, 1995. She departed this world way too soon on May 23, 2021. Mariah is the daughter of Leslie Arnall and Jay Reynolds, both of Springfield. Mariah (or Mya) as she liked to be called, graduated from Hillcrest High School in 2014, where she participated in marching band all four years. She attended OTC and Pittsburg State University. Preceding Mya in death is her beloved Grandma Julie Billings Copple. She is survived by both parents, two sisters – Torie Reynolds and Taryn Reynolds and a brother, Mason Stewart.
She is also survived by her paternal grandparents, Jamie and Sherry Reynolds of Taneyville, MO and maternal grandparents, John and Wanda Relford of Moberly, MO and many uncles, aunts and cousins. In high school Mya didn’t just participate in band, she was passionate about it. Another of Mya’s passions was her love of racing which she inherited from her dad, Jay, and Papa Jamie. You would see her brightest smiles when she was on her quad waiting for her race to start. She traveled the midwest with her dad’s race series working in her Merchandise booth. Mya was also passionate about NBA basketball. She staunchly supported the OKC Thunder although she was very disappointed in them this season! Mariah also enjoyed playing Pokemon Go. Mya was known for her infectious smile and extremely giving nature.
Services for Mya will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 28, at Dickens Cemetery, Taneyville, Mo.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Mason Stewart college fund.
