Marie Theresa Franklin, 82, Springfield, Mo. passed away on July 18, 2009. She was born on February 15, 1927 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, graduating in Boston, 1946. She worked at 3M and volunteered with the Red Cross. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Harman Franklin; parents, Joseph and Yvonne Plante’; sisters, Yvonne Plante’ and Irene Maxfield; and brother, Joseph Plante’. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Jill Franklin, Shirley Ann Dresslaer, Sandi Kay Hughes and husband Brad, Garry Dale Murphy; stepchildren, Daniel Franklin and Leroy Franklin; seven grandchildren, Alan Kirby, Lisa Lammey, Missy Dunn, Mark Dunn, Matt Dresslaer, Rick Miles and Jessica Miles, 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Brland, New Hampshire; and nephew, Tom and wife Jenny Ayotte. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on July 23, 2009 in Springfield National Cemetery.
