Marion Junior Marler, better known as “Chug,” age 60, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away after a short illness on March 12, 2024. Chug was born to Ralph and Shirley Marler on July 3, 1963, in Springfield, Missouri. Chug worked at Enersys Battery and was devoted to his job. He loved motorcycles, fast cars, good music, and his friends and family. Chug adored his mother and was a loving son, brother, father, and uncle. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Chug was preceded in death by his father, Ralph; two brothers, Steven and Ronnie; and two sisters, Joyce and Sherri. He is survived by his mother, Shirley; sister, Sandra; brother, Michael; daughter, Kourtney; and several nieces and nephews.

Chug’s family will host a visitation on Monday, March 18, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 pm., at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, 1:00 pm, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Following his funeral service, Chug will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. There will be a formal procession from the funeral home to the cemetery.
