Margie Scobey passed away on December 18, 2011. She was born on April 25, 1929, in St. Louis, and is preceded in death by her parents, Marie Cavenah and Everett Garrett and husband, Donald Scobey.
She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Susan Scobey and Scott Jones, Donna and Hal Wallis, Roger and Dori Scobey; two grandsons: Ben Wallis and Landon Scobey; Sister Judy Coons and Brother Dwayne Garrett.
There will be an informal gathering of family and friends to honor her life from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East: 3540 E. Seminole Springfield, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Margie Scobey memorial fund established in her honor through: Friends of the Garden, P.O. Box 8566 Springfield, MO 65801.
