Marjorie Lathem, died peacefully on Saturday,July 30, 2011, in Springfield, MO.
She was born October 22, 1921, to Boyd and Donna Johnson on a farm northwest of Springfield, Mo.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Effie Lou and brother, Boyd Johnson. Marjorie was married to Ernest Leo Lathem in 1938, who preceded her in death in March 1993. She was a long time resident of Mt. Vernon, Mo. and worked many years at the Food Fair Store in several capacities lastly as their bookkeeper.
She is survived by sons, Douglas and wife Sheryl; Ernie and wife Jackie; Bennie. Daughters, Donna Tiffany and husband Stan, Debra Johnston and husband Jeff. Sister Catherine Crockett, Marionville, Mo. 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be at Wednesday, August 3, 2011,
at Robberson Prairie Cemetery, north of Springfield. No viewing or visitation is planned. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
