Marjorie Leona Batten was born August 24, 1924, to Charles E. and Meakie Burch. She passed away March 3, 2013, at the age of 88. On November 18, 1949, Marjorie and James W. Batten were united in marriage.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; and one daughter, Deanna Lynn. Marjorie is survived by James, Jr. and his wife, Caroline and their son, James, III. Son, John Wood. Son Stanley Thomas and wife Dianne, their daughter Rianna Renke and son Rylan. Daughter LouAnn Ellmer, and her husband, Michael and their son, Stephan. Son Mark Allison. Two brothers, Thomas and Charles, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2013, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2013, in the funeral home.
Marjorie was loving to all who knew her and the kind of grandmother everyone wishes they had.
