We miss you already dear great-grandma, grandma, mother, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, friend and neighbor. But we didn’t want you to stay if you couldn’t still teach us to crochet, play Yahtzee, dig in the flower bed or be a little bit bossy as you reminded us to fill the bird feeder or humidifier. Your yard art (donkey & cart) was a source of play for our children. We remember you for ‘Simply being a classic’, a good listener, sassy yet compassionate. And to be honest, we were all a little bit jealous of your great memory at 88 years of age.Marjorie passed through on May 4, 2015 in Monett, Mo., at LACOBA nursing home four days before her 89th birthday. The day before you left us, you put others before self, thanking your nurse & CNA’s for their help. We thank them too. You were born in Hutton Township near Charleston, Ill., to Hurschel & Gladys Fitzpatrick. Your remaining siblings, Neal, Ferrell and June, helped you a lot during your last few months by keeping in close contact as did your sister-in-law, Sue. Many didn’t know you lied about your age to get a Social Security card at 15 or that you worked in a defense factory assembling/cleaning parts for airplanes during WWII or that you ran a dye cutting machine for men’s and women’s shoes at Brown Shoe factory. Did you tell your family and friends that you sang with a group on the radio? We were proud of you when you went back to school in your 40s to earn a GED, graduate from Graff VoTech and become a LPN to work at the Mt. Vernon Chest Hospital. And you were so proud of that too. Good job Mom.On January 13, 1946, you married Willard Brown in Charleston. The early years were spent in northern Missouri and western Kansas. You later returned to southwest Missouri to raise your children and dote on your thirteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. We know you’ll miss seeing the new great-great grandchild when they arrive.Passing before was your husband of sixty years, Willard; son, Paul David Reed; brothers, Kenneth, Donald, Doyle and Ronald; grandson, Jeremy; and a great-great-grandchild.Surviving along with your siblings are six children & their spouses, Kevin & Mary; Larry & Cindy; Dudley & Debbie; Carolyn & Kenny; Sue & Scotty; La Reva & Jim and a sea of nieces, nephews, cousins and their families; friends and neighbors around Halltown and Miller, Mo.Visitation will be held at Greenlawn North May 7, in Springfield from 6 to 8 p.m. with services following on Friday, May 8, at the New Home Baptist Church 1572 Lawrence 1180 near Everton MO at 2 p.m.Memorial contributions may be made to the New Home Baptist Church (P.O.
