Martha Ann Barnard, 84, of Springfield, went home to The Lord on October 22, 2013. She was born May 7, 1929 in Knoxville, TN and graduated from White Hall High School, in 1947. She was a member of South Haven Baptist Church.
She was preceded by her parents Lessie Mae Holland and Wiley Boyd Holland of North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Martha was a graduate of White Hall High School near Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and enjoyed lifelong friendships with her classmates. She married Robert Barnard in 1950.
She is survived by four children who loved her: Barbara Barnard, Robert Barnard Jr., Sharon Harvey and Shelly Marin.
Martha loved her grandchildren: Jake Winn, Dan Barnard, Cindy Simzek, Rhiannon Geiger, Desi Youngblood, Mickey Youngblood and Justin Marin. Martha delighted in her great-grandchildren: Alex Geiger, Dean Geiger, Keira Simzek and Gabriella Simzek. She is also survived by extended family and many friends who were close to her and helped to care for her, prayed for her, and visited her to the end, and the family is grateful to you all.
