On June 19, 2021, Martha passed away in Springfield, MO. She was born in Fair Grove, MO., January 21, 1925. Her parents were Otis N. and Elta N. (Burke) Wommack. She married Arnold R. Tummons December 28, 1940, in Marshfield, MO. and Herman O. McGilvry July 28, 1998, in Miami, OK.
Martha was a volunteer Pink Lady at Burge Hospital, enjoyed playing the harmonica in the Grandma Band with her mother, and loved to whistle along to songs. She loved to bake banana bread for her friends and family, fishing, gardening, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sister Lillian Hein, two daughters, Kathy and Gale, one son, Richard; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded by her sister Gladys, four brothers, Raymond, Thomas, Billy Everett, Jimmy Joe; husbands Arnold, Herman, her children Ina, Troy “Gene,” David Tummons, and her parents.
Visitation will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North Thursday, June 24, between 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 25, at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at Brighton Cemetery.
