She is also survived by three wonderful sisters: Virgina Woods and husband Bill, Bessie Meier and husband Carl, and Sheryl Foster and husband Bob; many nieces and nephews and a multitude of loving friends.
She leaves a legacy of love and service to God and Family. Her personality, humor, love for cooking, work ethic, and enthusiasm for the MSU Bears were contagious and still echo in her family. She took pride in family and made sure those around her knew who belonged to her as well as all those of whom she took part in raising in the Ridgecrest nursery. She was such a caring individual with a heart of gold who loved writing letters, all of which touched the lives of those around her. Marie’s life was an inspiration to all. Her story and love will live on in the hearts of those that were graced by her presence. We rejoice in the knowledge she has passed this life and is forever at home with our Savior whom she has faithfully served for 85 years. We ask that you too rejoice with us as we celebrate the honor and crowning achievement of her life- her Homecoming! Here she will meet her husband Orville John Magers of 43 years who passed away 24 years ago. In honor of Maries life, and in lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be sent to the children’s ministry of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. May her legacy live on!
