Martha Maxine Wadkins was born February 25, 1925, to Charles and Martha (Marcum) Faught in rural Christian County. She married Forest “Puffy” Wadkins, November 22, 1941. To this union three children were born. She died April 26, 2012, in Christian Health Care-Nixa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by her children: Jim Wadkins, Jane Adams and husband Don, Judi Blankenship and husband Dale; three grandchildren: Joe Wadkins and wife Tammy, Jim Wadkins and wife Michelle, Brandi Kennebeck and husband Russ, three great-grandchildren: Amanda Wadkins, Jacob Wadkins, Shelby Wadkins; Kassie Leids. Special nieces: Dixie Ragsdale and Shirley Bradley; brother-in-law, Elzy Ragsdale and sister-in-law, Jackie Faught; Cousin Roxy Sneed; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved Boston Terrier, Hannah.
Maxine retired from Springfield Nursing Home/Regency Health Care in 1986. She was a member of Sunset Church of Christ.

Maxine Wadkins has “gone home”!
Visitation will be April 29, 2012, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday afternoon in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Graveside services will be held Monday 3:00 p.m., in Payne Cemetery, Nixa, MO.
Donations instead of flowers to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Fair Haven Children’s Home-Strafford.
