Bobby and Tonya Newman left a message on October 1, 2020:
One of the greatest men we've ever known. One of the best memories. (From Tonya). Marty and Bobby many years ago did a group fly with the Paraglider (not sure that's right name). They drove to Joplin, and then flew with a large group to Oklahoma. In my head it was a day thing, they'd left at 10 that morning. I heard from Bobby about 9 pm that night. They were at a restaurant in Joplin, had a driver drive them back to get the truck and trailer. At 3am I woke up, they were not back. I started calling, no service. At 3:30 am I called Marty, who had just got home and was SNEAKING thru his own house as not to wake Tammy, because he thought he'd also be in trouble for the hour it was. He answered the phone and said Bobby had just left. . A few days later he was over here, he said "I almost made it, then the phone started ringing right when I got to the bedroom and woke her up". He never let me live that down.
