Mary Alice (McKinney) Boatman, age 87, of Bolivar, MO, passed away March 4, 2013, after a long illness. Mary was born April 6, 1925, at Turners, MO, to William and Minnie (Speaks) McKinney. She graduated from Fair Grove High School. Mary was united in marriage to Sam Boatman in 1947. Mary was a member of Highway Assembly of God Church Brighton, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Sam; two sisters: Billie Brake, Bessie Vanzant; an infant sister Donna; and a brother Bobby.
She is survived by four children: James Edgmond of Morrisville, MO, Michael Boatman and wife Dorthy of Walnut Grove, MO, Beverly Smith and husband Don of Battlefield, MO, and Dennis Boatman and wife Nancy of Morrisville, MO; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; two brothers: Jack McKinney and wife Naomi, and Wayne McKinney and wife Debbie all of Fair Grove, MO; three sisters: Mae Johnson, and Hilda Woodmansee and husband Johnny all of Springfield, MO, and Sue Gifford and husband Bill of Baldwin, MO; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
