Mary Ann Anderson, 91, Nixa, formerly of Springfield, entered into eternal peace on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at home, her last days spent surrounded by family. Mary was born on March 2, 1922, in Susquehanna, PA, to John and Ellen Gannon.
Mary was a kind and gentle soul who held a great love for the Lord and her family. She served in the daycare at Glad Tidings Assembly of God. In later years she attended Central Assembly of God. Mary cherished babysitting her grandkids and telling stories about their antics. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, John, William and Harold. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her beloved husband of 68 years, Lloyd Anderson; daughter, Jane and her husband, Wayne Rhoades; four grandchildren, Lisa and husband, Everett Gardner; Lori Cantrell and Tom Silva; Melanie Cantrell; Chris and wife Rivers Rhoades; Tim Rhoades; Jason and wife Sherry Rhoades; twelve great-grandchildren, Michael Gardner, Cole Finup, Ty Johnson, Elijah Farley, Isaiah Farley, Elizabeth Farley, Olivia Nicholson, Hayden Rhoades, Jordan Rhoades, Allye Rhoades, Jake Rhoades, Maddy Rhoades; and extended family.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2013, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, prior to the service.
