Mary Ann Jones 86, Springfield, MO. passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020 in her home, after a long illness. Mary was born in Springfield, MO. on October 18, 1933, to Gus and Georgia (Thomas) Compton. She was a life-long area resident and she was retired from Steak & Shake restaurant, after many years of service.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clifford Earl Jones, her grandson, Richard Joe Thomas her sister, Kate Hicker, and two brothers: Gus (Shorty) Compton and Duke Compton. Mary is survived by her three daughters: Judy Ann Snelson and her husband, Bill, Doris Jean Field, and Barbara Janet Dunlap, her two sons: Ronald Earl Jones Sr. and his wife Theresa and Michael David Jones and his wife, Judy, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren and her two sisters: Opal Robertson and Betty Morrow and her husband, Elvin.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial to follow, in Danforth Cemetery, near Strafford, MO. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
